Slow Food Sonoma County North
Slow Food Sonoma County North engages the local community in supporting and promoting local, sustainable food and food traditions and advocating for good, clean, and fair food for all people. The convivium started and supports several projects that are focused on agricultural traditions; food justice; youth involvement; and the use of endangered vegetables.
Examples of current projects include Slow Food School Gardens Project, AMIDI: Sonoma-Pachay Food Culture Exchange, Slow Harvest Gleaning Project, and the Sonoma County Grow-out: Ark Vegetable Restoration Project.
Slow Food Sonoma County North is a chapter of Slow Food International, a non-profit member-supported organization that was founded in Italy in 1989.
